she is also on the verge of walking on her own i think .... she pushes her walker around with no difficulty and very quickly and is also very steady standing on her own with no support. can't believe she was just a tiny helpless baby less than a year ago!
just got through a bad patch of middle of the night wakings, which left us pretty exhausted. we are all glad that phase is over FOR NOW. baby is also probably on the verge of dropping one of her two daily naps ... she has not been taking her afternoon nap for the past two days. this has meant earlier bedtimes for her as well, as she is usually all stoney and wobbly by 7.30pm. it's been nice packing her off to bed by around 8, instead of having her turn in between 8.30 - 8.45.
the playground near our home is probably one of baby's places. she likes watching the older kids run around, and she gets herself busy at the more tactile playzone - with the rotating alphabet barrels and tic tac toe board. she also tends to look out for tiny pebbles on the ground which she picks up and tries to eat. sigh. everything that she picks up tends to go into her mouth - plugs, golf balls, pebbles, leaves .... this is maximum exposure to germs.
