baby seems to need less babying from us nowadays. in fact, i think she really enjoys being able to explore the world on her own and do things by herself. when i try to hold her as she sits on the potty nowadays, she pushes my hands away, as if to say "i can sit/balance on the potty by myself already (and do the necessary peeing as well!)". and she's happiest when she's outdoors and able to go around on her own, either by crawling or by holding onto things and walking. never mind that the ground may be rough ... she doesn't seem to care and still crawls at a crazily high speed.
when we brought her to the nearby park over the weekend (when we got some respite from the haze), she wanted to walk, and instead of holding her under her armpits like i used to in the past, i decided to just hold her hand, and lo and behold, i had a walking baby!
she was so happy walking around, and didn't even complain when she fell on the rough pavement. she just picked herself up and was ready to go again.
this is my on-the-go baby. love it that she's growing up and eager to show us that she can do grown-up things.
