there are three soft toy bears sitting on the ledge above our tv in the living room - bears from our uni days when we got each other "someone from [uni] loves me" bears - and since she was a few weeks' old, my mum has been pointing out those bears to baby almost on a daily basis. my mum was convinced that baby knew after awhile where the three bears were as she would turn towards them when we asked her "where are the three bears?", but because it wasn't always consistent, we weren't so sure.
after many many weeks of not bringing it up, i asked baby the same question again a few days' back, and she immediately turned to where the bears were and smiled. tried it out a few gazillion times more with her from different parts of the living room just to be sure, and she was spot on all the time. #proudmummymoment man, i don't even think she is so responsive when i ask her "where is mummy?"
now to get her to recognise the clock and the fan.
