it's been awhile since the last entry and i blame a rather hectic work schedule for this. thankfully the kids have been rather wonderful. some updates:
- h still LOVES her ballet classes and she starts counting down to the next class the moment her class ends. we only get to peep at her from outside the dance studio but from what i see she can follow most of her teacher's instructions / actions and she's as usual the most kiasu and enthusiastic of the lot of kids.
- at least 2 boys in class are sweet on h. one told his mum he wanted to marry her and the other raids the fridge everyday to find sweets to bring for her (and only her).
- we just had the year end parent teacher conference and as usual we heard from the teachers that h had a great year. she's independent and enthusiastic, focused when it comes to work and is the perfectionist when it comes to colouring. her comprehension skills are apparently quite good and she is a big chatterbox. it's hard not to love a cheerful kid.
- we have successfully managed to introduce Chinese books into her nightly read list, and thanks to that i get to brush up my Chinese.
- the siblings make us laugh a lot when they are together. h is all bossy and n will just go along with being bossed around. they play quite well together because n is perfectly fine watching h do her own thing and doesn't usually try to snatch at whatever h is playing with. he will at most lean over to get a better view of what she's doing or do his own thing. the only thing he will "complain" about is if h gets her morning bottle of milk and his is nowhere to be seen. heh.
- n is super cute. really.
