have only had to feed baby less than 10oz of formula in the past month, and those were consumed over two days when she was extra cranky and wanted to eat all day.
it feels good.
the happy problem arising from all of this is that we have an almost untouched can of milk powder which according to the label has to be consumed within 3 weeks of opening .... i never knew powdered milk would spoil so quickly. also, it means that on the rare occasion where i may need to use formula, i would have to buy a new tin and then use it once. it would be ok if infant formula was cheap, but it is freakin' expensive. $25 for a mini tin. am hoping not to have to resort to formula anymore until baby is past 6 months.
[afternote: hurray! my mum got her friends to pass us some ready-made infant formula that come in 2oz bottles. if i don't use these for any top-ups from now till the 6-month mark, i will mix them into baby's food next time so that they don't go to waste.]
